  • Private lessons are available for those who need marksmanship assistance, please contact us at the range to arrange a lesson.

Where you learn where to carry....

LTC classes are a mixture of many topics and activities. This is a course that informs students about Texas Law regarding firearms. It also tests Basic Knowledge of Texas Firearm Laws (in the lecture portion of the course) and shooting proficiency in a DPS prescribed shooting qualification.

This is not a course that teaches you how to shoot. Please see our Handgun Fundamentals Course for assistance with Beginning Instruction. We also offer private instruction in this category, if needed.

Class times are 8:30 am – 1:30 pm followed by an optional 2 hour Fundamentals Class that teaches basic marksmanship skills for an additional $50 for those that are not familiar with their handgun or are not comfortable with handgun safety.  This will include a practice LTC qualification.  If you chose to register for the prep class, then the LTC qualification will follow (unless otherwise noted)

From the LTC website applicants can: THIS DOES NOT NEED TO BE DONE PRIOR TO CLASS.

• Complete and submit the LTC web application (can do this prior to class)

• Submit the application fee through DPS application

• Schedule electronic finger prints through DPS application

Then complete the application process by uploading supplemental documents to DPS application and proof of LTC course.

Texas DPS will require Electronic Fingerprints to be done. All applicants will have to submit fingerprints electronically AFTER completing their online applicant submission to TX DPS. (Regardless if you have been fingerprinted through another state agency.)  During the online State application, you will be able to choose the time and location of your fingerprinting appointment.
