Gracie Survival Tactics Training

Class Duration:   Every Thursday

                              1:00 pm to 2:00 pm

Location:  Precision Jiu Jitsu

Precision Jiu Jitsu in Lindale and Armed Texans Training are teaming up to provide First Responders Gracie Survival Tactics training each week on Thursdays at 1:00 pm. 

 

This class is $10 per class or $30 per month. 

 

The class is limited to First Responders.  Others may qualify, PM for questions. Agency ID will be required unless prior arrangements are made. We will be covering a set curriculum as required by TCOLE.

Certificates will be issued for submission to TCOLE for credit. 

The certificates will be printed after the officer has completed four one hour classes. 

Please no Weapons (Live lethal firearms, CEWs, live ammo, Chem/OC spray, edge weapons) in the Gym. 

 

Recommendation:

For convenience it is recommended to bring a water bottle.  

Attire and Gear:

Bring an injection-molded (plastic or rubber) training gun if you have one)

If your training gun is black, please mark the barrel (blue or red tape will work) for that anyone can clearly identify it as an inert training weapon.   

Training handcuffs are recommended but you may use your duty cuffs. Make sure and bring your own key. 

If you normally wear body armor, we recommend bringing it as well. (Please ensure that no chemical sprays, knives, conducted energy weapons, batons, or sharp objects are in your duty belt.  

Dress in comfortable PT Gear, BDU pants, Gi bottoms, with the ability to have an inner belt (to secure your gunbelt),  T-shirts (long sleeve are recommended) are recommended. 

Shoes - barefoot recommended, no shoes other than wrestling shoes on the mat. 

Finger and toenails must be clipped.

Professor Jeff Hammond is a Jiu Jitsu Black Belt, a Deputy Constable and a Gracie Survival Tactics instructor. Jeff began training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2010 and teaches kids, adults, and law enforcement officers across East Texas. Constable Kelly Smith is a Jiu Jitsu blue belt and trained under Jeff Hammond since 2015.  Kelly has been an officer since 1997 and began training law enforcement in defensive tactics in 2000 and is a Gracie Survival Tactics Instructor.
