Dusty Cook
Dusty is an active Peace Officer and has been a certified Peace Officer since 2005. During his career he served as a Field Training Officer, Sergeant, Criminal Investigator, and is currently a Captain. Dusty currently holds an Advanced Peace Officer’s License with over 2,200 hours of documented training.

Dusty is a Certified Firearms Instructor through the Texas Commission On Law Enforcement with Advanced Firearms Instruction Methods. Dusty has been a Certified Field Training Officer since 2007. Throughout his career Dusty has successfully attended the Texas FBINAA Command College as well as the Bill Blackwood LEMIT Command Staff Leadership Series. Dusty is a certified SWAT Officer through Texas Tactical Police Officer’s Association. He has attended and successfully completed numerous firearms training schools throughout the country.

Dusty is certified in Hazardous Materials Response as well as Weapons of Mass Destruction Response, and Response to Terrorism. He is trained to the highest level of the Incident Management System as well as successfully attended The COBRA Facility in Anniston Alabama receiving hands on training with Chemical, Ordnance, Biological, and Radiological materials.

Dusty has received several awards and commendation letters for his dedicated service to his community and others. Dusty believes that everyone should be prepared and trained to the highest level possible and that training should never stop. He also believes in early youth development. Dusty is a member of several boards in the area involving youth development and spends countless hours each year serving the youth of his community and others.

Dusty believes he can pass along skills and techniques he has learned over the years to help students become safer and more effective in protecting their family and themselves.
