Law Enforcement & Military Training

1 DAY Defensive Pistol or Rifle Class


The class will run from 8 AM until 5 PM

and is limited to the

first 20 who apply with a minimum requirement of 10 students.



Class is geared for law enforcement or military.  Instruction in cover, movement, multiple threats, communication as well as presentation, malfunctions, and shooting on the move will be covered.

Pistol course addresses:

  • drawing

  • loading

  • malfunctions

  • advanced skills

  • distance firing

  • injury drills

  • ground fighting

  • shooting and moving as well as other issues for defensive use of handgun


Equipment needed:

  • Eye and ear protection

  • Knee and elbow protection

  • Pistol with holster

  • At least two magazines (three would be preferred if at all possible)

  • weapon cleaning kit for all weapons used

  • flashlight

  • 400-600 rounds of ammunition (10 of which should be personal protection type ammo you will carry in your handgun)

  • Band Aid / medical tape (for sore spots)

Regardless of your experience prior to entering this course, upon completion, your gun handling, marksmanship, and tactical skills will be better than they have ever been and you will be able to safely and easily draw your weapon from a CONCEALED holster and fire two, sighted shots to the center of a target 5 yards away.


You will understand the principles of tactics and have multiple opportunities to use your acquired skills under the stress of simulated, lethal encounters.


This course is a must for anyone who chooses to own or carry a handgun for self-defense.


Lecture Topics and Firing Range Drills are primarily Concealed Carry; Tactical Training Simulation using Realistic Targets in Shoot/No Shoot Scenarios; and Target Engagement from Arm’s Length to 15 yards under Time Pressure.


Rifles are the individually operated choice of weapons systems for personal defense. A rifle in the hands of a skilled owner can generate a person who can effectively control close or far personal defense environments.

All rifle courses include:

  • skills of safe handling

  • malfunction clearance

  • deployment

  • tactics

  • low and altered light application

  • As well the use of cover, concealment, shooting with movement and manipulation skills are covered.


Equipment needed:

  • Eye and ear protection

  • Knee and elbow protection

  • gloves

  • Rifle with sling

  • At least two magazines (three would be preferred if at all possible)

  • Handgun with holster and approximately 50 rounds for transitions

  • Weapon cleaning kit for all weapons used

  • Flashlight

  • 400-600 rounds ammunition for rifle

  • Band Aid / medical tape (for sore spots)

This course is designed specifically for persons interested in learning how to use a semi-automatic carbine as a personal defense weapon. Topics covered include a discussion on the importance of mindset and tactics along with selection of appropriate support gear and understanding of rifle ballistics. Students will undertake numerous drills designed to familiarize the student with his or her individual weapon system and enhance the student’s gun handling and combat marksmanship skills from 3-100 yds.
