Expanding the world of firearms to women in Northeast Texas in a safe, non-threatening way with the purpose of Educating, Equipping and Empowering women shooters.

Who We Are
The Armed Women of America (AWA) is a non-profit organization that organizes local groups of women, who meet monthly to practice, learn, and grow as shooters. The monthly meetings help to create opportunities for women to be introduced to issues important to women shooters, learn safe gun handling skills and train together.
Who We Serve

Women 18 years of age or older of all experience levels.

Girls 14 to 18 years of age may become members, but must attend with their mom or adult female guardian.

Women who are just getting started with buying shooting, and caring for firearms, and want to learn in a comfortable environment.

Women who have some level of experience and want to advance their skills.

Women who want to share their knowledge and expertise to help other women.

Women who want to have some fun and enjoy learning and shooting in the company of other women.

To participate, you must join The Armed Woman of America. Fees are $75.00 a year.
The Mineola Chapter of the Armed Women of America meets every 2nd Thursday of the month. The time changes depending on Daylight Savings Time starting between 3:30 - 5:00 pm and ending between 7:30 - 9:00 pm at the Armed Texans Training Facility, 369 CR 2784, Mineola, TX 75773.
